I have gained so much by remaining involved with Lafayette. Whether it is through partnering with the Gateway Career Center to help build career connections for students, serving in a leadership role in your local alumni chapter, or mentoring a new Lafayette alum, the actions of the Lafayette family are truly vital to our continued success!
From the moment of stepping on campus, I felt an enormous amount of pard pride. After graduating, I wanted to not only stay connected to campus, but to help foster our community beyond the hill. To me, volunteering is about building the Lafayette community and continuing to give back to the place that gave me so much.
I am inspired to remain involved with Lafayette because it is a way of showing appreciation for the impact the College has had on my personal and professional development. Giving back to the community that has helped shape the person I am today is integral to my decision to remain engaged with the College.
From the moment I left campus after graduating the evidence of the great education I received was apparent everywhere I went. Being involved with the Midwest Advisory Council has rekindled friendships, garnered new ones and again inspired me to give back as we expand Lafayette’s reach in the mid and intermountain West.
I've been involved as a volunteer since I graduated as a way to 'pay it forward' and expand Lafayette's reach on the West Coast. I always enjoy speaking about my experiences and it's been very rewarding to connect with other alumni, students, parents, and Lafayette staff over the years.
One objective of the West Coast Advisory Council is to help foster a strong network and sense of community among our undergraduates and alumni on the West Coast. Providing internships and externships is one way to help achieve that goal. I find it very rewarding to help students as they go through the process of finding that first job.
