Ways to volunteer

Philanthropy

Class Fund Manager
Partner with Annual Fund staff to help establish class-specific fundraising goals, assist in communicating fundraising efforts to classmates, and conduct peer-to-peer outreach.

Giving Challenge Promotion
Serve as a “digital ambassador” to promote specific giving challenges on social media.

Giving Challenge “challenger”
Leverage your philanthropic support to encourage others to also give back to Lafayette during two times of the year, Bring the Roar in November and Founders’ Day.

Outreach Volunteer
Reach out to classmates, teammates, and/or friends around an area of interest during a  giving challenge.

Hosts and Presenters

Event Hosts
Organize an event that brings members of the Lafayette community together, regionally, virtually, or on campus. This could include serving as a Lafayette-Lehigh Telecast host, Summer Welcome Event host, Community Service Event organizer, and so many more. These are great opportunities for those who are unable to commit to a long-term volunteer role.

Campus and Virtual Speakers
Serve as a guest speaker or lecturer for regional, virtual, or a campus event. You can speak on a specific topic of interest that could be educational for students, or share knowledge around a specific topic with alumni and parents. Tell us about it and we will send you a token of our appreciation!

Dyer Center and Advisory Board
The Dyer Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship serves as an integrated hub for Co-curricular and experiential learning opportunities, design thinking, financial understanding of venture capital and startup business, prototype development, startup and grassroots marketing.  There are many ways to become involved including: guest speakers, judges for competitions, internship and shadowing opportunities, connections for students, and volunteer leaders for the Advisory Board. We are currently in a search for the new Director. https://dyer.lafayette.edu/
