Alumni Association

Our formal connection is through the Alumni Association, which includes all graduates of the College. Currently, more than 29,000 members live in all 50 states and 87 foreign countries. As president and president-elect, we invite you to read more about the association and explore the opportunities to connect and engage.

The Alumni Association promotes the welfare of Lafayette College by:

1. encouraging each alumnus/alumna, as an individual, to assume a full measure of responsibility for the progress of the College,
2. providing leadership and the means for alumni to unite in their efforts to support and strengthen the College,
3. working closely with the Board of Trustees and the administration of the College to achieve unity of purpose and activity,
4. disseminating information that will keep alumni well informed about the College and the association,
5. establishing class and chapter organizations to efficiently carry out the objectives of the association,
6. assisting in raising funds for the improvement of the College,
7. encouraging qualified students to apply for admission to the College, and
8. making recommendations through its officers to the Board of Trustees concerning matters essential to the welfare of the College.

The officers are the president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. The first two are elected by the association at its annual meeting. The executive director of Alumni Relations serves as secretary, and the treasurer of the College or designated person serves as treasurer.

The Alumni Association Board  is comprised of the officers and the members-at-large who usually serve as chairs of the Association committees. The current committees are Admissions, Affinity Groups, Gateway Career Center, Chapters, Communications & Outreach, Participation, and Young Alumni.
