“Our Lives in Ruin(s)”

Greece and Turkey

“The beauty of the Aegean, the wisdom of our President, and the camaraderie of fellow alumni made our journey to Greece and Turkey a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The small ship, excellent itinerary, and informative lectures added even more stars to our experience.”

– Wynne Whitman ’86

“Much to our delight, our trip to Greece and Turkey far exceeded all expectations. Smooth sailing with a highly qualified French crew as well as very knowledgeable guides made this trip one of the best we have ever experienced. Gohagan & Co. did a marvelous job attending to the minutest details, justifying great praises for a ‘job well done.’ New friendships, great historically significant sites, afternoon lectures by ‘famous’ people (President Weiss, etc.), plus exceptional food made this journey one never to be forgotten. When do we leave for the next adventure? We are raring to go!”

“Chianti in a Tuscan Villa”

Italy

“We have wanted to visit Tuscany for a long time. When the brochure arrived, we phoned and joined the group in Florence. To sum it up: We would do it again! The whole week was well organized and covered all the essential towns. The content of the lectures was excellent and an important part of the trip. We liked the concept of day trips from one location and staying in one hotel. The rooms and meals at the villa were excellent, and our tour guide was superb. We could be talked into another trip!”

— C. Lawrence ’58 and Carol Murphy

“What a fabulous trip. From the moment we arrived in Florence to the last day, everything was perfectly organized. The AHI Travel Group was extremely professional and selected knowledgeable, personable tour guides who made the trip a success. The best part of the trip (besides the pasta and wine) was meeting and traveling with fellow Lafayette alumni from all over the country. We truly feel that we made friends that will last a lifetime, and we hope to travel with them again on another alumni trip.”
